Loyal followers of the pop star are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains clips of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more message on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of fans had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-film adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected friendship between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a adaptation of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, securing several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
